Wayne "Wayne-Zu" Masahiro Tanaka

March 31, 1940 - April 25, 2017

77, of Wailua, Kauai became a heavenly angel on April 25, 2017. He was born in Pahala, Hawaii and raised in Honolulu, Oahu. After graduating from McKinley High School class of 1958 he worked for Coca-Cola Bottling Company on Oahu as a driver/salesman, then moved to Kauai in 1975 to be the Branch Manager for Coca-Cola Bottling Company Kauai. he retired from Coca-Cola in 2002 after 44 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and the Wailua Ohana, taking his grandchildren on outdoor activities, playing golf with the Westside Golf Club and the Wailua Ohana Friday Clubbers, and kicking back at the 19th hole. He will be forever missed by his wife, Edwina "Kaui" Kau Tanaka; son, Todd (Jessell) Tanaka of Lihue, Kauai; daughters, Tisha (Keoke) Cotner of Bedford, Texas, and Tiffany (Trinity) Pesamino of Ewa Beach, Oahu; grandchildren, Kalauonaonaeho'ohiwahiwakamakana, Kekanili'imaikalani, Kassidy, Kelson, Jaden, Jaxon, and Jurney; brothers, Alvin (Patricia) Tanaka and Harold Tanaka; nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Kapaa Seventh Day Adventist Church. Visitation at 9:00 a.m.; Service at 10:30 a.m. Private interment will be held at later date.
